Dr. Laurie Parenton
Veterinarian
Dr. Laurie Parenton has enjoyed serving the veterinary needs of the New Port Richey community since 2005. A native of the Tampa area, Dr. Parenton returned home after graduating with a business degree from the University of Notre Dame and worked as a CPA in a Big 5 accounting firm before finding her true calling in veterinary medicine. Leaving the world of financial accounting, Dr. Parenton attended Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in Baton Rouge, LA, where she met her future husband, discovered a love of Cajun/Creole food, and realized her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Dr. Parenton enjoys dermatology and preventative medicine, with an emphasis on client communication and education. She strives to enhance the human-animal bond and truly believes in the importance of engaging owners in a partnership to provide the best medical care for their pets.
Away from the office, Dr. Parenton relishes time with her family, which includes human and furry kids – one opinionated kitty, Minou (the boss of the group), a wonderful, elderly German Shepherd mix, Sherman, and a crazy, loveable Aussie/Pointer mix, Cooper. She enjoys crafting (quilting and stained glass), college football in the fall, and Rays baseball in the spring and summer.
