Dr. Carla Channell

Dr. Channell knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since she was five years old, so she is very much living her dream. She came to Best Care in 2006, having earned her DVM from the University of Florida (go Gators!). Her husband is also a veterinarian and they have 2 wonderful children together – Aubrey and Garrett – as well as a large animal companion family that includes dogs, cats, turtles, snakes, and a tortoise.

Dr. Channell cherishes her relationships with her clients and her patients and she feels lucky that she gets to care for pets for their entire lifetimes – from puppies and kittens to golden oldies! She’s a passionate advocate of pet dental health and has a special interest in soft-tissue surgery. When she’s not caring for your pets, you’ll find her gardening, working out, reading, riding her bike, and caring for and cleaning up after the family zoo.
